Designer’s Profile: Born in 1974. Graduated from Kuwusawa Design School. Became a graphic designer after spending time working in furniture upholstery. Holds a license in furniture craftsmanship.
Even though numbers can be enjoyed as elements of various designs, they are usually used on flat surfaces. With the NUMBER CUP, I attempt to invoke the 3rd dimension in numbers by giving them the ability to be picked up and held in your hand. In doing so I aim for the fun in numbers to be brought to life and enjoyed in ways they typically aren’t.
