Product Specification: LOVE LETTER LIGHTING employs a bi-directional electroluminescent film to provide a light source with similar ambient lighting levels to candle light. The base of the light sculftures are made either of felt rocks, each one being unique, or a marble cylinder that is an actual core from the making of the marble base for the Arco lamp, designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni in 1962.
When visiting FLOs in Italy, we were able to watch the marble being cut and shaped for their Arco lamps. The marble cores, a by-product of this process, became the base for a love letter light, we designed in tribute to the inspiration that the Castiglioni brothers have given through the emotion and ingenuity of their designs.
