Designer’s Profile: Born in 1971. For Sebastian Wrong, ten years within the manufacturing sector has accumulated in an impressive array of technical skills. Wrong’s abilities are widely recognized within a wider design community and have been often lent upon by a diverse collection of designers and companies. Wrong studie sculpture before establishing his own successful manufacturing company.
The ‘Spun’ lamp, made a huge impact when first exhibited internationally in 2002. It has since won the prestigious Red Dot design award and is currently being produced by Italian lighting manufacturers. Flos, together with Mark Holmes Wrong formed the multifaceted creative organization The Lane in 2003 which has since produced a collection of design products, graphic identities and exhibition designs. Wrong is also a founding member and director of Established & Sons.
His manufacturing prowess has lent substantial credibility to the organization and he continues to exercise his abilities as a product designer. Wrong is active in the operational management and prototype developments of Established & Sons.
